Kuster Meets With New Hampshire VFW, Highlights Legislative Priorities

Yesterday, Rep. Annie Kuster (NH-02), met virtually with New Hampshire Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Legislative Chair, Jörg Dreusicke, to discuss priorities for New Hampshire veterans as the nation continues to recover and rebuild from COVID-19, and ongoing efforts Rep. Kuster is leading in Congress to support Granite State service members.

"It's an honor to bring the voices of our Granite State veterans and service members to Congress," said Rep. Kuster. "As the daughter of a WWII Purple Heart recipient, advocating for our men and women in uniform hits close to home and has always been a top priority. As we work to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and build back better, supporting our nation's veterans is critically important. I want to thank Jörg Dreusicke for taking the time to meet with me and discuss the priorities of the NH Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). From ensuring our veterans have access to the health care and benefits they have earned, to supporting the families of POW and MIA service members, I will continue to advocate on behalf of those who served our country."

Rep. Annie Kuster is heavily engaged with legislation supporting our service members and veterans in Congress. Earlier this year, Kuster helped introduce H.R. 3224, the I am Vanessa Guillén Act of 2021, which would help eliminate sexual assault and harassment in the military. Also this year, Kuster helped introduce H.R. 1115, the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Location Act, to authorize the establishment of a Global War on Terrorism Memorial on the National Mall. Kuster previously served on the House Veterans Affairs Committee for six years, helping to advance numerous pieces of bipartisan legislation to the President's desk.
