Manning Statement on Texas Court's Ruling on DACA

Congresswoman Kathy Manning (NC-06) released the following statement on the ruling by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas against DACA, halting new applications:
"Last week's ruling underscores the urgency for Congress to enact H.R. 6, the American Dream and Promise Act, which the House passed earlier this year. Senate Republicans continue to block this bill's consideration, ensuring that young people -- brought to our country as children and who know no other home than America -- continue to live in fear and uncertainty. It is long past time that Congress pass bipartisan legislation to protect Dreamers from deportation and to keep immigrant families together. I urge the Senate to act swiftly on the passage H.R. 6."
