On Thursday, Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) released the following statement in response to San Antonio's unconstitutional Chick-Fil-A ban:

At a time when religious freedom is under attack from a tyrannical government, such as the IRS's recent ideological persecution of Christian Engaged, rejecting their tax-exempt status because of their Christianity, I am encouraged to see progress from the Texas Supreme Court in another attack on religious liberty involving Chick-Fil-A in San Antonio. The San Antonio City Council's treatment of Chick-fil-A was nothing short of an abuse of government power to punish Christian beliefs. Even before the revolution, people came to America to flee from tyrannical government attacks on religious freedom. Now it's coming from the IRS down to local politicians and it needs to end, now.
