Location: Washington, DC

Today, Congressman Steven Horsford joined House Democrats to reintroduce H.R. 3, the Elijah E. Cummings Lower Drug Costs Now Act. The bill will reduce drug prices for American families and stop pharmaceutical companies from price-gouging necessary and life-saving medications.

"In the wealthiest country on Earth, no one should be worrying about the cost of their prescription drugs. American families overwhelmingly support Congressional action to stop pharmaceutical price-gouging and address rising health care costs, and I'm proud to introduce this legislation for the people," said Congressman Steven Horsford. "The Elijah E. Cummings Lower Drug Costs Now Act will keep medications affordable and within reach for the millions of Americans -- like me -- who depend on them to stay healthy. I urge my colleagues in the House and Senate to work with me to quickly pass this lifesaving legislation into law."

In the 116th Congress, Congressman Horsford co-sponsored and voted to pass the Elijah E. Cummings Lower Drug Costs Now Act, which passed by a bipartisan vote of 230-192.
