Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga released the following statement after the United States Senate voted to confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the United States Supreme Court:

Congratulations to Amy Coney Barrett on being confirmed to the U.S. Supreme Court. Justice Barrett is a highly skilled jurist who understands it is not the role of a judge to make law. Justice Barrett will interpret the Constitution as written, respect the rule of law, and serve with distinction. It was disappointing to see both Senator Stabenow and Senator Peters tow the party line and vote against this highly qualified nominee.
