Jessica spoke up for personal liberties during session. She's a strong believer in the rights of all South Dakotans. Jessica opposed raising the smoking age to 21, opposed the increased regulations on teen drivers, opposed increased legislation on using electronic devices while driving, and opposed authority to the attorney general's office for unlawful civil forfeiture. Jessica spoke on behalf of abused and neglected children to allow therapy dogs into court proceedings and sponsored legislation to protect victims of domestic abuse. Jessica also sponsored legislation to put a stop to spam phone calls in South Dakota. She is against any personal interest, frivolous legislation that will waste tax payer money.
