Date: Jan. 1, 2020

Senator Sepúlveda is committed to ensuring quality affordable and public housing. The 32nd state senate district has one of the highest concentrations of public housing in New York State, with over 30 NYCHA developments. As part of this commitment to quality affordable housing, Sepulveda is deeply engaged in his community, building close relationships with Tenant Association Presidents, regularly attending monthly TA meetings, visiting tenants at their homes and personally responding to the persistent issues that arise and advocating for rapid solutions.

During the 2019 Legislative Session, Senator Sepulveda was proud to co-sponsor the Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act of 2019. This historic rent reform package rights many historic wrongs by increasing tenant power and creating a structure of accountability, transparency, and justice within the real estate and housing industry.
