U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) today issued the following statement about Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish celebration of the new year, which begins today and runs through sunset on Sunday.

"I know that Nevadans of faith are finding new ways to mark and find joy in the High Holy Days at this time of uncertainty and transition. I hope you are able to refresh and renew treasured traditions so that you can celebrate, reflect, and turn the page on the old year, welcoming in a sweet new year ahead. Shanah tovah to all in Nevada who observe."
