Mandie believes that health care is a human right, and will strive to ensure that underserved communities, women, and children have access to the comprehensive care they need. The state's recent Medicaid expansion has provided access to care to half a million more Louisiana residents. Mandie will work to ensure that this access to care is not reduced or threatened, and that the state continues to expand and protect access to health care. People should not have to choose between medical attention and other basic necessities, and should not face bankruptcy because of medical bills.
