Delgado Statement on the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock

Today, Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) released the following statement in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock Music and Art Fair, which took place in Bethel, in Sullivan County, from August 15 -- 18, 1969.

"This weekend marks the fiftieth anniversary of a music festival and historical event unlike any other. I join in welcoming tourists from across the country to experience the beauty and camaraderie Sullivan County and Upstate New York have to offer." Delgado continued, "on this historic anniversary, let us reflect on the unifying power of music and a weekend of peace and love. I thank the Sullivan County officials who have worked for months to ensure this anniversary is a safe and enjoyable event for all."
