Gun Control

Enacting new laws will not make a difference. We need to enforce current laws and make parents more responsible for in-home firearms.

Education

I would hope we could obtain quality education with the funds available now. Parental involvement is necessary for students to succeed. I believe we need to include parents more in the classroom and show our children we care and not leave it all up to the schools. We should also develop more courses specifically slated toward college credit allowing students to gain these credits in the lower cost of High School rather than the College environment.

Busing

I do not look with favor on busing. I would rather see the transportation money used to improve neighborhood schools.

I believe the principles described in the American Legion Preamble illustrate my values. I intend to continue living my life and will govern by its philosophies.
