As state representative, Jeremy will fight to improve and strengthen healthcare access in Louisiana. Jeremy understands that everyone should have access to quality healthcare and that hospitals play a vital role in our communities.

This is an extremely important issue for Jeremy and his family. His wife, Jessica Jarreau LaCombe, is an internal medicine physician who provides indigent care while teaching medical residents and students with LSU at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. His wife works on a daily basis with a patient population who struggles to gain access to affordable and preventive care, and because of significant budget cuts over the past decade have seen the elimination of vital services offered to them. Jeremy believes it is essential to everyone's well-being to continue to fight for and support our public/private hospitals in their efforts to provide these life-dependent services.
In addition, Jeremy and his family has worked for nearly two decades to provide medical support to cancer patients in the area. In 2001, Jeremy started a non-profit organization, the Janell LaCombe Cancer Fund, more commonly referred to as Nell's Angels, in honor of his mother who passed away from cancer. The goal was to help and assist cancer patients with unmet medical needs. Since the inception of Nell's Angels, Jeremy and his family have distributed over $500,000 and assisted over 500 local families throughout District 18 with help in their time of need. Further, Nell's Angels has awarded 146 scholarships to students of local high schools who were affected by cancer to further their higher education plans.
