Issues: Taxes Government Budget and Spending
When Governor Hogan and I took the oath of office in January 2015 our state was shedding jobs and residents at an alarming rate. The high taxes under the previous administration were a driving force in people and businesses choosing to pick up stakes and moving to states friendlier to the bottom lines. Over the last three sessions, I have supported the Governor in his efforts to rein in spending, cut taxes and fees, and foster a business-friendly atmosphere in Maryland.
