State government must be innovative and work cooperatively with the private sector to ensure everyone in our community has:

Equal opportunities in education, jobs, healthcare and affordable housing
Equal protection under the law in our criminal justice system
Environmental justice in the use and development of our natural resources
Improved capacity for self-reliance for food and energy
Equal access to a safety net for food assistance and temporary housing when times get tough
Safe streets with improved accessibility and mobility for multiple modes of transport, including commercial vehicles, cars, bicycles, wheelchairs, and pedestrians
Sustainable public hospital facilities in North Kohala, Hamakua, Kona, Hilo and Kau that work hand-in-hand with private hospitals like North Hawaii Community Hospital to provide the healthcare services needed in our community
