Hurricane Harvey caused widespread flooding throughout the Houston area, especially in HD 129. Some of my constituents lost everything they owned. I will work on helping with flood mitigation before the next major storm hits HD 129. Also, I will continue working on a comprehensive drainage plan that looks at the entire watershed. State oversight can ensure proper coordination by all local organizations to make sure new drainage plans will protect homes from future floods.
