Congresswoman Ann Wagner (MO-02) released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives passed over 60 pieces of legislation to combat the opioid crisis.

"Every day, 175 Americans die from opioid overdose," said Congresswoman Ann Wagner. "Drug addiction is killing our friends and neighbors. Last year in the Midwest alone, the rate of opioid overdoses increased by 70%. Over the last two weeks, Congress has passed over 60 pieces of legislation to reverse this epidemic. We are taking action to prevent drug overdoses, provide treatment to those in need, and keep the synthetic drug fentanyl from pouring into our country. We are giving communities the resources they need to fight back against this epidemic and offer hope for a better tomorrow."
