STATEMENT BY SENATOR EDWARD M. KENNEDY ON FDA AND PLAN B
"I welcome FDA's recognition that the scientific evidence supports the approval of Plan B for over the counter use for women aged 17 and older, but I am concerned about the additional delay in giving Plan B the unambiguous approval that it deserves. I am disappointed that FDA waited until this late hour to address a legal question that could and should have been resolved months ago. I urge FDA to act quickly to approve this needed reproductive option for women."
