Political rally held amid serious foreign policy challenges; president delivers typical partisan attack lines, little actual support for Cortez Masto

Dr. Joe Heck, candidate for U.S. Senate, today released the following statement on President Obama's visit to Las Vegas.

"It's unfortunate, but not surprising, that the President would take time out to attend political rallies while we are facing serious foreign policy challenges around the world. Our coalition partners are launching a major counter offensive against ISIL in Iraq and one of our strongest allies in the Asia-Pacific region, the Philippines, announced it will align itself more closely with China and Russia. The outcome of these situations will have serious, long-term implications for America's safety and security. Meanwhile, the President comes to Las Vegas to prop-up Harry Reid's hand-picked candidate. It is telling that the President had very little good to say about my opponent and instead chose to deliver the same misleading partisan attacks Nevada voters have had to listen to for more than a year now.

"Nevadans are ready for a Senator who will put their interests first and who can leverage their real world experience to find solutions to the challenges we face at home and abroad. My opponent offers nothing more than a continuation of Harry Reid and Barack Obama's failed policies. No political rally can change that."
