As our number one resource and the main underpinning to our economic growth, oil production should be protected and increased. And I want the benefits of that production to come home to our Arctic citizens instead of going straight into the State bank account. However, I also believe that State programs rural Alaskans need should not be cut to deal with our budget problems, before the oil companies pay their fair share.
