Congressman Pete King Attends FDNY Retirees' Breakfast

Congressman Pete King (R-Seaford) once again had the opportunity to go to the FDNY Retirees' monthly breakfast at the Lindencrest Diner in Lindenhurst. "These guys are the best and their breakfast meetings are inspiring and patriotic," Congressman King noted. "Each meeting starts with a reading of the names of any American military killed the previous month as well as the names of any of FDNY retirees who are sick or who passed away. Then the stories begin and the jokes and insults fly back and forth. I try to attend these monthly breakfasts whenever I'm not in Washington and always feel better for it. These are the type of Americans who make our nation great."
