Press Release

Date: June 10, 2016
Location: Jackson, MS
Issues: Veterans

Mark Gladney delivered the keynote address at the Mississippi Democratic Party Convention in Jackson on May 25. To a standing ovation by the 4th CD delegation, Mark spoke of his reason for running, his love of Mississippi and dislike for inaction by the current Congressman. Mark, a 27-year retired Lt. Col. expressed his support for the veterans and his disgust of his opponent's lack of support for any Veteran Bills brought before the House. In another show of the current Congressman's ineptness, Mark stated that his priority will be high paying jobs for Mississippians. He would never, unlike our current Congressman, vote to send 200 highly skilled and paid jobs to Seattle instead leaving them right here in Mississippi.

Mark was praised by Attorney General Jim Hood and Minority House Leader David Baria for his courage to stand up and make a run for this seat.

Congressman Bennie Thompson, (D-2CD) also praised Mark and encouraged all Mississippians to stand behind Mark to get him elected. In so doing, Mississippi would double its representation in Congress.
