Chairman Burr Statement on Britain's Exit from the European Union

Statement

Today, Senator Richard Burr (R-NC), Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, made the following statement on the United Kingdom's vote to exit the European Union:

"The people of the United Kingdom have just completed a historic referendum, and have rendered a decision on their future. While there will be a great deal of discussion in the coming days and weeks about what the 'Leave' win means for them and for us, our friends and allies in the UK should know this: we respect their decision, and we stand by them, just as they have always stood by us."
