The government wants access to your phone. They want access to EVERYONE's phone.

And they have company -- everyone from identity thieves to stalkers, from Chinese state security to terrorists plotting against Americans -- they'd all love to have an easy-to-crack backdoor into our iPhones and Androids and any number of our devices.

I'm fighting to pass the Secure Data Act to prohibit government-mandated backdoors into our technology.

Americans should not surrender our security for the convenience of law enforcement. If the government can break into a phone, any hacker can do the same.

We can't open this Pandora's box -- it's not just about one iPhone -- it's about the security of every American who carries a cell phone.
