Tom has voted every year for the lowest proposed budget, and has worked hard to develop a balanced budget. The most recent version of this budget cuts $5.5 trillion in spending and makes structural reforms to programs that are the main drivers of our debt. Tom recognizes that government wastes money on things it shouldn't be involved in, so he successfully fought to finally end government subsidies for political conventions.
