Statement

Date: April 19, 2016
Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), today released the following statement remembering the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995 that killed 168 people:

"Twenty one years ago today, 168 people were killed in a heinous act of domestic terrorism in Oklahoma City, the most deadly act of domestic terrorism in our nation's history. Through our inherent strength and selflessness, Oklahomans united together to support our neighbors and rebuild our city. Today, the Oklahoma Standard has come to embody resilience in the face of adversity and strength and compassion that overcomes evil. Today we remember the victims, their families and loved ones as well as extend thanks to our first responders who were forever changed on April 19, 1995. And let us all take a moment to extend the Oklahoma Standard in their honor."
