Issue Position

Small business forms the backbone of our economy and employs more than 50% of our country's workforce, making it critical that we protect, support, and advance its potential. A principal foundation of American life is free market and a federal government that knows how to back it is indispensable. This means reducing the burdensome fees and regulations that are working against our businesses every single day. We simply can and must do better: small business start-ups are at an all time low, unemployment is hovering at 5.4% nationally and 6.5% locally in California, and economic growth has recently ranked very poorly on a global scale. I will advance my fight to the federal level by continuing to scale back and appeal harmful regulations, taxes, and fees on the businesses that give America its Dream.
