Jordan Highlights Obama Administration Assault on 2nd Amendment During District Visits

Statement

Date: Jan. 19, 2016
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Guns

In several district visits today, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) drew attention to local concerns with President Obama's executive overreach on restricting the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans.

Jordan toured the facilities of Crawford County munitions manufacturer Galion LLC, visited with the owners of Elkhorn Lake Hunt Club, and tonight he will speak to the northwest Ohio chapter of the Safari Club.

Of the visits Rep. Jordan said:

"The Second Amendment remains one of the most cherished rights in our Constitution. Our part of Ohio is full of hunters, sportsmen and others who own and use guns in a safe and responsible way.

"The president's obsession with targeting the rights of law abiding gun owners will not do a thing to address the issue of gun violence. I appreciated hearing from folks in our district on this issue today, and I want them to know that I will continue fighting in Congress to protect the Second Amendment rights, and all the constitutional rights, of regular Americans against the executive overreach of this administration."
