Statement from Governor Hassan on January Unemployment Rate

Statement

Date: March 2, 2016
Location: Concord, NH

Governor Maggie Hassan today issued the following statement on the announcement that New Hampshire's unemployment rate dropped to 2.9 percent in January:

"With our unemployment rate falling to 2.9 percent in January, its lowest level in nearly 15 years, it is another clear indication that the state of our state is strong and getting stronger. Our bipartisan approach has kept New Hampshire moving in the right direction, but we know that we still have much more work to do to expand opportunity, support innovative businesses, and build an even stronger workforce where our workers have the skills they need to thrive in our changing global economy."
