Serving on the board of the Amboy Community Food Pantry provides a first-person view on the needs of those less fortunate. "There are people among us in real distress. We care for them best when we meet those needs while protecting their dignity in these tough times by providing opportunity for education and work."

A longtime member of the North Little Rock Ministerial Alliance, Carlton recognizes the value of our churches in caring for those in need. "Our churches are the best grass roots organizations in our communities. Not only do they know the needs of individuals and families, they prevent future crises by teaching principles of good living to our citizens."

Working together, the religious leaders in our community link arms and harness the great energy of our citizens in serving our community. "I am grateful to be a part of something bigger than ourselves which sends a message that we are all equal in God's eyes with dreams to pursue and something to share."
