Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (R-VA) issued the following statement on H.R. 1314, the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015, which passed the House today by a vote of 266-167:

"This bipartisan budget will bring certainty to our military and federal employees without raising taxes or adding to the annual deficit. The sequester has indiscriminately hurt our national defense and military readiness. This budget strengthens our national security and protects our troops by increasing resources by $40 billion over two years. America continues to face precarious and dangerous international challenges while our military has suffered from across the board and dangerous budget cuts these past few years. These additional resources are desperately needed by our men and women in uniform so they can continue their mission."
