Governor Cuomo Announces State Police to Participate in This Year's "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" National Crackdown

Governor Cuomo announced that the New York State Police and local law enforcement across New York will participate in the national "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign from Friday, December 18, 2015 through Friday, January 1, 2016. Drivers can expect to see sobriety checkpoints and increased patrols along roadways during the campaign, which is funded through the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee.

"State Troopers will be out in force this holiday season to crack down on dangerous drivers," Governor Cuomo said. "New York State has zero tolerance for drunk driving and the preventable tragedies it causes. I encourage all motorists to obey the rules of the road and to think twice before getting behind the wheel this holiday season."
