Hice Statement on Passage of SOAR Act

Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 10, the SOAR Reauthorization Act. This act reauthorizes the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship Program for five years. Congressman Hice (GA-10) released the following statement concerning the passage of the measure:

"Today, I was proud to join my colleagues in supporting SOAR. As I've said before, the role that parents play in their child's education is critical for long-term academic achievement. This bill will reward high performing schools and incentivize others to improve. It rightly arms many hardworking parents with the ability to play a more active role in determining which school their children attend and should be hailed as a victory for school choice -- and most importantly, for students."
