As District 83 is only a stone's throw away from Louisiana's majestic coast, we must stand together to protect our disappearing coastline from the encroaching waters of the Gulf of Mexico. We must also balance our need to sustain the many jobs created by our vital oil and gas industry with the imperative of protecting and preserving our environment for future generations.
