U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) released the following statement on the devastating fires burning across California:
"My heart goes out to all those who lost their lives, homes and businesses in the disastrous fires that are raging across California. I am praying for the safety of all.
"So many communities have been devastated by the Valley Fire, Butte Fire and the other fires burning in our state. We stand ready to help them get back on their feet.
"I want to thank the brave firefighters who are working 24-7 to save lives and property and the volunteers who are helping those who have lost so much."
