U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced more than $6.5 million in federal funding for Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport. The Department of Transportation's (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the funding.
"Ohioans and visitors rely on Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport for travel, commerce, and business," Brown said. "This award will ensure that the airport has the infrastructure it needs to remain efficient and support its flight schedule."
The $6,574,110 will be used to demolish Taxiway C to improve safety and efficiency; reconstruct 6,795 feet of runway; and correct and replace airfield signs that do not currently meet FAA standards.
