Statement

Date: May 8, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

Congresswoman Donna F. Edwards (MD-4) released the below statement today marking Jewish American Heritage Month.

"This Jewish American Heritage Month let us celebrate the history, culture, and contributions our Jewish community has given to all of America," Edwards said. "The successes and challenges from a diverse group of immigrants have been a symbol of America's commitment to faith and family. I look forward to honoring Jewish Americans who continue to share their sense of public service, pursuit for religious freedom, and support for equal access for all.

"For more than 360 years, the American Jewish Community has displayed courage, led by example, and personified what the American dream means. Let us come together and reflect on how Jewish Americans have made our nation stronger, educated our communities, and enriched our diverse and growing cultures."
