Reason for Seeking Public Office:
I have served in the Maine House of Representatives for eight years, where I had the pleasure of representing the people of Sanford. I am running for State Senate so I can continue the work I have started, and take action on issues that affect Mainers on a daily basis. I am disturbed by the increasing encroachment of powerful special interests in the making of public policy, and how this sacrifices the best interest of Maine residents. I am convinced that we need my voice, and other strong ones like it, to ensure that Mainers who pay the bills and support societal needs get front row seats in Augusta
