Priority Issues:

PEOPLE: Our priority, first, is to take care of our people... to make sure our economy is strong and stable, we can give our kids a healthy future, and that we can finish out a long, full life with dignity and security.

BUSINESS:
Whether you're a farmer or a business-owner, local entrepreneurs; and businesses fuel our communities. We need to streamline red tape,and make it more efficient to employ more people.

REGIONAL HEALTH:
Keeping our region healthy includes taking care of our kids, seniors, and the land. Through active regional engagement, we can build a stronger voice in Sacramento and collectively address local challenges.

People

We need the jobs, career opportunities, and economic vitality that will allow our kids to stay here to raise their families locally, ensure that we can keep our communities safe, and provide basic resources and infrastructure.
Our region is beautiful, bountiful, and has hard-working employees. I believe we can attract businesses, with a shared commitment to the land and our people, to settle here and become part of our community. Through alliances and partnerships, we can become a hub for all of Northern California.
Business

Whether you're a farmer or a business-owner, local entrepreneurs and businesses fuel our communities. We need to streamline red tape, and make it more efficient to employ more people. Though improved systems and a shift in focus, we can protect workers rights and our gorgeous region, while supporting the local businesses that are so important to our economy.
Regional Health

Keeping our region healthy means:

1) making sure that our young people receive the education they need to be employable and capable in a modern economy
(both through formal education and career training);
2) seniors can retire with dignity, healthcare, and the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of their long careers;
3) we are able to pass this abundant and beautiful place to our children, so they may enjoy and prosper from it just as we have.

Working together, we can find a balance that works for people, the environment, and our economy.

8881a_LoResOur challenges are not partisan -- they're local! In order to make life better for families and communities, we need to build alliances across the aisle and around the region. Our solutions should seek to benefit everyone -- from farmers to students, entrepreneurs and local business, urban and rural, and every individual working to build a better future.

We know how to pull together. It's what we do. We need leadership in Sacramento that supports the people, will work hard, and understands how to get things done.

I'm not a politician, and I know we can do better. I believe in action over words, and solutions over rhetoric. There is a lot to get done, and working together, we can do it.

I would be very honored to represent the needs and importance of our counties in the Assembly -- and bring real results home to you.

Reason for Seeking Public Office:

Our region is vitally important to the state. We supply California with food, water, and lumber, and we're a destination for every kind of recreation.
Yet Sacramento legislators draft laws without understanding our rural issues, concerns, or how legislation will impact Northern California communities.
We need a fresh leadership, unafraid to advocate for regional resources to improve infrastructure, education, and quality of life for working families. We need a leader who'll support women, workers, and our business communities, and who's willing to address environmental concerns and climate change impacts.
It's our Assemblymember's responsibility to advocate for the needs of rural Northern California's working families, be a bold voice for our issues and needs, and effectively impact legislation on our region's behalf. Looking at the results, there's clearly work to do.
I'm not a career politician or afraid to get my hands dirty. I believe in action over words and solutions over rhetoric. In a career spent supporting small businesses, local communities, and working families, I've learned to effectively bridge divisions, find solutions that work, and get the job done. I'll focus on regional advocacy, build partnerships, work with stakeholders, and persist until there's genuine impact.
I'd be honored to represent our district in the Assembly ? and to bring home results. Let's make Sacramento work for us!
