My fourth great grandfather, Thomas Leland Jr. He was a member of the Grafton, MA militia that took part in the Battle of Lexington April 19, 1775. I wonder if he knew how momentous that day would be.

I would also like to talk with my great grandfather Henry W. Short Jr, who as a lawyer won an important civil rights case before the Nebraska Supreme Court in the 1880s, firmly establishing that when a person pays their court-ordered bail, a sheriff has no right or discretion to refuse to release them from jail.
