Reason for Seeking Public Office:

One of the most crucial decisions we make as Americans is deciding on our representation in Congress. It is a vote that can move us either towards a stronger, more prosperous future, or a future shrouded in fear, war and economic decay. Protecting and defending the economic interests of Missouri's working families and strengthening America's Middle Class is a primary reason for my running for the United States House of Representatives seeking to represent the second district of Missouri. Never before has a single Administration done so much widespread damage to our country than that of President George W. Bush. With the support of legislators in Congress like Rep. Akin, Bush has thrown the United States into a quagmire of never-ending crises: the war in Iraq, the oncoming recession, the weakening of America's international stature -- and the unabated deterioration to the financial health of our middle class. We must halt these trends to get Missouri and America back on track.

The DeLear Plan:

-Balanced and Restrained Federal Spending
-Economic Policies that Strengthen the Middle Class
-Affordable Health Care for Every American
-Responsible Withdrawal of our Troops from Iraq
-Tax Relief for Lower and Middle Income Wage Earners
-Reduce America's Over-Dependence on Foreign Oil
-Invest in Renewable Energy Technologies and Energy Independence
-Rebuild the US Manufacturing Sector with the Creation of Green-Collar Jobs
-Fair Trade with Worker's Rights, Environmental Standards and FTA Benchmarks
-Environmental Stewardship -- Sustainability as Good Asset Management
