Vote to table an amendment that allows vouchers for students in unsatisfactory schools.
Highlights:
- Establishes that a student is eligible to transfer to a new school if the student attends or is scheduled to attend a failing school, or if they are determined to be physically or mentally handicapped [Section 59-63-620].
- Requires schools to administer state required assessments in math and language arts to transfer students [Section 59-63-633].
