Vote to concur with house amendments and pass a bill that amends crime interfering with public transportation with the intent of combating the addiction crisis in the state of Oregon.

Highlights:

• Amends the crime of interfering with public transportation to include the use of an unlawfully possessed controlled substance while in or on a public transit vehicle with a maximum of 364 days' imprisonment, a $6,250 fine, or both (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that the new manner of committing interfering with public transportation is a designated drug-related misdemeanor for purposes of supervision duty and funding (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 1).
