Vote to pass a bill that authorizes voter pre-registration.
Specifies that an individual who is at least 16 years old may pre-register to vote and shall be automatically registered to vote upon reaching the age of 18 (Sec. 1).
Specifies that an individual under the age of 18 who registers or pre-registers to vote shall have their registration marked as “pending” and be unable to cast a ballot in an election (Sec. 1).
Requires local boards of education adopt policies that promote student voter registration and pre-registration (Sec. 1).
Specifies that completion and submission of voter registration or pre-registration forms shall not be a course requirement or graded assignment for students (Sec. 1).
