Prohibits an individual licensed to practice professional counseling including, but not limited to, a physician, psychologist and social worker, from providing “conversion therapy” to a patient who is under 18 years of age (Sec. 1).
Defines “conversion therapy” as any practices, treatments, or efforts that attempt to change an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity (Sec. 1).
Classifies a violation of the provisions of this bill as engaging in unprofessional conduct and subject to discipline by a licensing authority (Sec. 1).
