Vote to pass a bill that authorizes video lottery machines and table games at the Rockingham Park facility in Salem.

Highlights:

• Authorizes the operation of video lottery machines and table games at the Rockingham Park facility in the town of Salem if eligible voters approve it (Sec. 1).

• Requires the lottery commission to issue a gaming license to the Rockingham Park facility for the following operations (Sec. 1):
• The operation of no more than 160 and at least 80 table games; and
• The operation of no more than 3,500 slot machines and at least 2,000 video lottery machines.

• Requires the Rockingham Park facility to remit a tax of 35 percent of gross slot machine revenue and 18 percent of gross table game revenue to the state treasurer, who shall distribute the revenue as follows (Sec. 1):
• 3 percent of the gross slot machine revenue to Salem;
• 1 percent of the gross slot machine revenue to the host community or abutting communities;
• 1 percent of the gross slot machine revenue to Rockingham County; and
• 1 percent of the gross slot machine revenue to support programs treating drug and alcohol addiction.
