Vote to pass a bill that appropriates funds for higher education and human services for fiscal year 2016.
Appropriates $140.9 million for mental health facilities (Article 1, Sec. 10).
Appropriates $558.7 million to the Department on Aging (Article 3, Secs. 5, 10, & 15).
Appropriates $274.6 million to the Illinois Community College Board to be distributed to community colleges for educational related expenses (Article 13, Sec. 5).
Appropriates $397.1 million to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission for grant awards to students eligible for the Monetary Award Program (Article 20, Sec. 5).
Appropriates $86.85 million to the Department of Transportation for metropolitan planning and resources (Article 8, Secs. 70 & 75)
Appropriates $63.78 million for addiction treatment (Article 1, Sec. 30).
Appropriates $24.25 million for HIV/AIDS services and prevention (Article 2, Sec. 5).
Appropriates $17.64 million for refugees and immigration services (Article 1, Sec. 5).
Appropriates $11 million for Breast and Cervical Cancer (Article 2, Sec. 15).
Specifies that this budget is valid for costs incurred prior to July 1, 2016 (Article 998).
