Title: Requires Pregnancy Centers to Inform Clients of State Pregnancy Services
Vote to pass a bill that requires family planning and pregnancy service providers to inform clients of certain state-funded pregnancy services, including, but not limited to, abortion services.
Requires family planning service providers to publish a notice providing the following information regarding available options and services (Sec. 3):
FDA approved methods of contraception;
Prenatal care services;
Abortion services; and
Contact information for county social services.
Requires the notice to be disclosed in 1 of the following ways (Sec. 3):
A public notice easily readable in a facility’s waiting room;
An electronically distributed notice for clients at the time of check-in; or
A printed copy of the notice for those who do not wish to receive a digital version.
Requires a pregnancy service provider that is not licensed to publish a clear and conspicuous notice informing all clients that the facility does not have a state certified license or licensed medical personnel, which must be posted at the entrance of the facility and included in any print or digital advertising (Sec. 3).
Requires covered facilities to pay a $500 fine for the first offense, and a $1,000 fine for each subsequent offense, for any violations of the provisions of this bill (Sec. 3).FDA approved methods of contraception;
