Vote to pass a bill that reduces income tax rates and appropriates property tax relief aid for technical colleges.

Highlights:
  • Reduces the income tax rates from 4.40 to 4 percent for the following tax brackets, for taxable years after December 31, 2013 (Secs. 24-26):
    • On all taxable income from $0 to $7,500 for single individuals, heads of households, and fiduciaries;
    • On all taxable income from $0 to $10,000 for joint returns; and
    • On all taxable income from $0 to $5,000 for married individuals filing separately.
  • Appropriates $406 million to the Technical College System Board for property tax relief aid to be annually distributed to each technical college district board beginning February 20, 2015 (Sec. 16).
