Title: Prohibits Sex and Gender Identity Discrimination in Places of Public Accommodation

Vote to pass a bill that prohibits discrimination or segregation based on sex or gender identity or expression in places of public accommodation.

Highlights:
-Specifies that all persons are entitled to the full and equal enjoyment of any place of public accommodation without discrimination or segregation on the ground of race, color, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, sex, or gender identity or expression, whereas existing law permitted discrimination or segregation on the ground of sex or gender identity or expression (Sec. 3). -Defines "Gender identity or expression" as a gender-related identity, appearance, expression, or behavior of a person, regardless of the person's assigned sex at birth (Sec. 2). -Defines "Public accommodation" as any place to which the public is invited or which is intended for public use including, but not limited to, the following (Sec. 2):
    -Inns, hotels and motels; -Restaurants and bars; -Gas stations; -Theaters and concert halls; -Museums, libraries and galleries; and -Gymnasiums, health spas, bowling alleys and golf courses.
-Specifies that it is not unlawful for a place of public accommodation to offer discounts or special offers based on sex to promote or market the place of public accommodation (Secs. 1 & 5). -Authorizes anyone who believes that he or she has been denied the full enjoyment of any place of public accommodation because of discrimination or segregation based on race, color, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, sex, or gender identity or expression may file a complaint with the Nevada Equal Rights Commission (Sec. 4).
