Bonamici Statement on House Passage of TAA

Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici (OR-01) released the following statement after the House of Representatives passed legislation authorizing the continuation of Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA).
"American workers drive our economy and providing support that helps them succeed leads to a stronger, more prosperous country. The passage of TAA will contribute to the development of a more robust, adaptable workforce. Many of the jobs created from expanded trade opportunities pay higher wages, but they may also require new skills. TAA provides training and support to help workers meet the demand in our changing economy. I have repeatedly supported legislation to renew this program, and I am pleased that the House passed it today."
